The soundtrack by Michael Garrod (Garoad) is essential. It’s a synthwave/downtempo masterpiece. Tracks like "Every Day is Night" and "You've Got Me" will live rent-free in your head for weeks. The music dynamically changes as the night gets later and the characters get drunker.
Note on the NSP file: If you are downloading this, ensure your Switch firmware is up to date, as the game runs without issues on all major CFWs (Atmosphere, SX OS). Support the developer (Sukeban Games) if you enjoy it – they are an indie gem from Venezuela.
If you are looking for a high-octane cyberpunk shooter, look elsewhere. VA-11 Hall-A is a "booze-em-up" visual novel where you play as Jill, a bartender in a dystopian future. Your only weapons are a shaker, a jigger, and a listening ear.
9/10 Best for: Late night play sessions, fans of Coffee Talk , introverts, synthwave lovers. Worst for: Action junkies, people who hate reading.
