Maddie wakes up inside the school’s boiler room, panicking. She realizes her body is gone. Simon, her only living ally who can see her, rushes into the school. He confirms: the body walking around is Janet, but Maddie’s consciousness remains tethered to the school. For the first time, Maddie cannot leave the property at all—even her ghost form is weaker, flickering.
