In the aftermath, the international community intervenes. President Belikova is arrested for crimes against humanity. As she is led away, she coldly states that she merely did what powerful nations (like the U.S.) have always done—use conflict for advancement.

The final confrontation occurs in the palace. President Belikova activates a (known as the T-103 variant, armed with claws, not the rocket launcher type). Resident Evil: Damnation is the second full-length CGI film in the Resident Evil franchise, following Resident Evil: Degeneration (2008) and preceding Resident Evil: Vendetta (2017). Unlike the live-action films, the CGI movies stay strictly within the canon of the video game storyline, featuring voice actors (mainly Japanese with English dubs) that closely mimic the game characters. The film takes place in 2011, between the events of Resident Evil 5 (2009) and Resident Evil 6 (2012).
