1. Introduction: The Structure of Jumu’ah Prayer In Islamic practice, the Friday (Jumu’ah) prayer holds a uniquely elevated status. It is not merely a Dhuhr prayer offered in congregation; it is a distinct act of worship that includes two sermons ( khutbatayn ) delivered by the khatib (preacher) before the two rak‘ats of prayer.
