At first glance, it looks like a typo. Did I mean gh-pages ? A forgotten Python script called gh3.py ? A pie recipe stored on GitHub gist #3?

No. It’s none of those.

There’s a strange new folder in my ~/projects directory. It’s named gh3.pie . gh3.pie
