Deewane Huye Paagal-2005 Review

It’s Deewane, it’s Paagal, but it’s rarely funny.

if you want quality cinema. Watch it only if you are hosting a bad-movie night and want to witness the beautiful disaster of Bollywood trying (and failing) to replicate Hollywood farce. Deewane Huye Paagal-2005

Loosely "inspired" by the Hollywood hit There’s Something About Mary (and Jerry Lewis’s The Nutty Professor ), the story follows Rocky (Shahid Kapoor), a simpleton in love with the gorgeous Tanya (Rimi Sen). Unfortunately, Tanya’s pet dog goes missing, so Rocky hires a dim-witted detective named Karan (Akshay Kumar). What Rocky doesn’t know is that Karan also falls for Tanya, leading to a mad chase to Goa involving a psychotic gangster (Suniel Shetty), a lunatic scientist (Paresh Rawal), and a house full of patients. It’s Deewane, it’s Paagal, but it’s rarely funny
